In the past couple of regular seasons, games against St-Leonard for the mosquito AAA team have been tight affairs. In 2009, the Cougars swept the doubleheader by the smallest of margins (6-0 and 7-0). Last
season, St-Laurent reciprocated by taking the home leg by a single score (12-6) and the away game in the last two minutes of play (28-13). However, in 2011, there is no question of who the better side is.
After winning convincingly on Labour Day weekend at Stade Hebert 32-14, the young Orange and Blacks reiterated the feat this weekend with a dominating second half performance for a final score of 37-6. QB Brendon was again a main feature on the offensive side of the ball, passing for two TD's and running in also a pair. The defensive unit held the shutout until the final two minutes of the game when it surrendered the only score in an otherwise flawless performance.
The Spartans still sport a perfect record of 6-0 which it hopes to maintain next weekend when the team travels to visit last-place Joliette Pirates.
