The Mosquito AAA used power and finesse to complete its perfect first half of the 2011 season. The St-Laurent team stands atop the Red Division with a 5-0 record, two games clear its nearest opponent. Getting there, though, wasn’t easy and for the second time running, the Spartans had to come from behind in the second half to complete its 33-26 win over the Sunnybrooke Bears. Powerful runs by Jeremy (one TD) and successful misdirection runs by Yianni (2 TD’s) capped a memorable afternoon at St-Laurent Park. The offensive plays were made possible by the exceptional work of the lead blockers on outside runs and passes (Jahlyd and Keshawn). The Mosquito team is off this week before resuming business against St-Leonard.
