After a hard fought first half, the AAA Peewee spartans hung on to merit a 14-0 win over Sherbrooke and open up its 2011 on a winning note. Stand out performances were given by Jie (2 rushing TD's), Brandon (Sack and filled in late in the game as an emergency QB), and Sotirios (who was alert enough to pick up a fumble and return it 70 yards after Sherbrooke thought they had scored). The defense was tired but they dug in hard to stop Sherbrooke from scoring from the 2 yard line on the last play of the game. It was the second time in three seasons that the Peewee AAA program opens up a season with win over Sherbrooke. Similar feat was accomplished in 2009 with a convincing win in the Township.
